With this free sewing pattern, you can quickly sew a handy washcloth – perfect for your bathroom, household tasks, or as a beginner-friendly scrap project!

Sew it with classic terry cloth for everyday body care, or use microfiber fabrics or cloths to create a practical cleaning helper. The washcloth can be washed and reused, making it a sustainable and useful everyday companion.

You can also use cotton jersey – it’s especially gentle on the skin and works great as a soft face cloth, even though it absorbs slightly less moisture. This project is perfect for beginners and a great way to use up leftover fabric.

Sizes & Variations

Small: 13 × 17 cm (5.12 × 6.69 in) – ideal for children
Large: 17 × 21 cm (6.69 × 8.27 in) – suitable for adults

You can choose between a 0.7 cm or 1 cm seam allowance. Both options are included.
