Lilly Kids – Loose Shirt and Dress for Children

Looking for a quick and beginner-friendly sewing project? The “Lilly Kids” pattern is perfect for sewing a casual jersey shirt or dress with cut-on sleeves – ideal for beginners, since no sleeves need to be set in.

The shirt is hip-length and pairs well with pants or skirts. The knee-length dress offers freedom of movement and is great for playtime. Choose between two neckline shapes: a higher crew neck or a wider scoop neckline, depending on your child’s preference or the season.

The dress is also great for summer – throw it on as a beach cover-up or wear it as a comfy nightgown. You can even add an optional elastic waist to give it more shape.
