"Melly" – Mid-Length Coat with Button Placket

The "Melly" model is a mid-length coat featuring a button placket and patch pockets. It has a loose, slightly fitted cut with a small, integrated stand-up collar that gently covers the neck.

French seams in the front and back panels make this coat an ideal project for beginners. A tie belt allows the relaxed coat to be cinched at the waist for a flattering shape. Patch pockets can be added to the front.

Fabric Selection:

• Spring/Summer: Medium-weight cotton fabrics or lightweight denim work well, making this coat perfect for spring or as a cardigan.
• Fall/Winter: Brushed fabrics like boiled wool or felted wool provide warmth for autumn.

Lining Options:

• "Melly" can be sewn with or without a lining.
• For colder days, a quilted lining is ideal, while a light cotton lining is recommended for spring.

Due to the added complexity of lining, the sewing level increases from Level 2 to Level 3 if the coat is lined.

The pattern includes both single size and multi-size options from size 34 to 50 with seam allowances in A4 and A0 PDF format.
